Follow Shaw James, a misunderstood and awkward Black male going through a quarter life crisis fueled by a series of unfortunate events, leading him to therapy, which he wants no part of. In the pilot episode, THE PROLOGUE, we are introduced to our hot mess of a protagonist, Shaw James and the reason he ends up in therapy.
In this episode, Shaw begins his treatment with the guidance of Ms. Esther, his therapist, and his wonky and aggressive social worker, Ralph. But will Shaw open up about what caused his downward spiral?
After a month of therapy, Ms. Esther offers Shaw a challenge - But will he accept?
After discovering his brother receives a recording contract with RCA Records, Shaw attempts to gain new clients for his life coach business at his anger management meeting. But will anyone accept? In this two part episode we are introduced to a motley crew of angry people who need the support of Ralph and Claire Fields, a new counselor filling in for Ms. Esther.
We last left off with Shaw meeting a very special lady at his anger management meeting, but will this interfere with his goal of gaining new clients for his life coach business? Kupumua [Part 2] continues in Shaw's group therapy session!
